5 Reasons You Should Try EFT Tapping

by Kathy Anne Rodriguez May 28, 2020

I am always looking for new healing modalities. I like to find medication-free ways to reduce stress and anxiety to help me focus on what my body is telling me it needs, allowing it to heal from the inside out.

5 Reasons you should try EFT Tapping

I recently watched an interview with Marie Forleo. She interviewed Nick Ortner from “The Tapping Solution.” Never having heard of EFT Tapping before, I was very intrigued about its origin, and how it works.

Excited to give it a try, I did, and here are the five reasons I think you should try it too!

Reason # 1: EFT Tapping combines ancient Chinese medicine with today’s conventional psychotherapy techniques

Just like acupuncture and acupressure in Chinese medicine, EFT Tapping focuses on the energy in your body’s meridian points. These points are areas of the body through which energy flows. Tapping on these meridian points with your fingertips can restore the balance of energy to resolve physical and emotional issues.

This tapping, combined with calming conventional psychotherapy techniques like soft music, mindful breathing, and positive statements, can serve as a mental distraction from many issues that you may be going through.

Reason #2: EFT Tapping can help you in so many areas!

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique, and it can serve as a holistic mental distraction from the issues that are causing anxiety, stress, PTSD, chronic physical pain, insomnia, phobias, and much more.

If you are dealing with a difficult situation right now, I highly suggest you try it.

Reason #3: There’s real science behind it.

Many studies have proven that EFT Tapping lowers your cortisol levels which is the hormone that induces stress. One of the most important studies was of a group where tapping reduced the group’s cortisol levels by 43% in one hour! To read more about this study and others, visit “The Tapping Solution.”

Many credible doctors and holistic specialists like Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Christiane Northrup, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Kris Carr, and many more all believe in the effectiveness of EFT Tapping. That is one of the things that made me even more interested in trying it.

Reason #4: EFT Tapping is very easy to do!

EFT Tapping is super simple to begin. Just choose the issue you want to focus on, such as anxiety. Determine your level of intensity 0-10 from for your chosen subject when you start your tapping session.

With two to three fingertips, tap each pressure point about five times, and then move to the next pressure point.

While you are doing this, you will repeat an acknowledgment reminder phrase such as: “Even though I have [issue], I deeply and completely accept myself.”

Starting at the karate chop pressure point on your hand, you’ll cycle through the pressure points in order (refer to picture below) for a specific pre-determined amount of time (five minutes is a good start).

When you finish cycling through the pressure points, re-evaluate your intensity level, and make a mental note of your current level. It’s as easy as that!

Reason #5: It works for me and so many others.

I have personally used EFT Tapping to help me fall asleep faster and to reduce anxiety. I was surprised that even with my first five-minute session of tapping, I experienced positive results.  There have even been reports of women with Autoimmune Diseases such as Fibromyalgia get their symptoms under control with tapping!

I was so impressed with my results; I shared this healing modality with many people, and will continue to suggest it as a holistic supplement to achieve the joyful and satisfying lives they desire.

    Conclusion:

EFT Tapping helps you reduce cortisol levels in your body.   This results in lowering stress, giving you the ability to cope with many issues such as anxiety and chronic pain. It would be best if you don’t replace your current therapies, instead try this in addition to them while working with your doctor.

An easy way to get started with EFT Tapping today is to download the app by “The Tapping Solution.” They have a huge assortment of reminder phrases and issues that you may want to address.  I love it, and use it often!

“I’ve had Diabetes for 34 years and Coronary Heart Disease for 6 years.  When I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2016, I thought this is it!  I was sure my life was over! Kathy Anne is my daughter and with her guidance, I started eating a Whole Food Plant-Based diet and learning about my health as a whole.  I had a mastectomy on my right breast, but I didn’t have any chemo or radiation on the 3 masses in the left breast!  I was 81 years old and didn’t want to go through all of that.  One year later my Breast Cancer didn’t show up on the mammogram!  I am thankful and blessed.  If you don’t feed the cancer, it can’t grow!”

“Kathy has changed my life; I have leaned toward plant-based/vegan for 20 years but only when around someone who knew what they were doing or in a fantastic vegetarian restaurant. Kathy has given me tools (recipes & strategies who knew you could use liquid from garbanzo beans to make chocolate mousse!?) and the science behind plant-based. She has also taught me about self-care and improved my effectiveness in my job as a health psychologist. On a personal level, she was there for me during a dark time earlier this year. So grateful .”❤️

“Kathy has been an inspiration to both my husband and I to pay attention to what we eat!  Our goal is to eat more plant-based, no sugar, dairy, or processed foods.  Do we always succeed?  No, but we are so much better than when we began our study with Kathy in the Plant, Strong, and Courageous group a little over a year ago.  Coming in, I was a cancer patient on chemotherapy with a stage 4 ovarian cancer diagnosis.  My husband wanted to lose weight and improve his cholesterol.  He lost 22 lbs and 44 points in his total cholesterol in 6 months time!  My last pet scan showed I was cancer free after two years of surgery and chemotherapy.  I firmly believe diet played a huge part in the results we both have attained, and without the education, Kathy provides, her care and compassion, and most of all her prayers, none of this would have been possible!”
